Description
A crispy and flavorful blooming onion made in an air fryer.
Ingredients

- 1 large onion
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 egg
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Slice the onion to create petals, being careful not to cut all the way through.
- In a bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, whisk buttermilk and egg.
- Dredge the onion in the flour mixture, then dip in the buttermilk mixture, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
- Place the onion in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
