A quick and easy recipe for crispy calamari cooked in the air fryer.
Ingredients

- 1 pound calamari, cleaned and cut into rings
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Soak the calamari rings in buttermilk for 30 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Dredge the soaked calamari in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
- Place the calamari in the basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
- Remove and serve immediately.
Notes
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer for best results.
