Ingredients

  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix cornmeal, flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the egg and buttermilk.
  4. Dip each catfish fillet into the egg mixture, then coat with the cornmeal mixture.
  5. Place the fillets in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overlapping.
  6. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.
  7. Check for doneness; the internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
