- 4 catfish fillets
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix cornmeal, flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, whisk together the egg and buttermilk.
- Dip each catfish fillet into the egg mixture, then coat with the cornmeal mixture.
- Place the fillets in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overlapping.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.
- Check for doneness; the internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
Notes
- Adjust seasoning to your taste.
- Serve with tartar sauce or lemon wedges.
