Ingredients

  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala

Instructions

  1. Rinse the basmati rice under cold water.
  2. Soak the rice in water for 30 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, mix the soaked rice with 2 cups of water and salt.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 180°C (350°F).
  5. In a pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds and chopped onions.
  6. Sauté until onions are golden brown.
  7. Add ginger-garlic paste and mixed vegetables; cook for 5 minutes.
  8. Add the garam masala and stir well.
  9. Add the rice mixture to the air fryer basket and cook for 20 minutes.
  10. Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust the cooking time based on your air fryer model.
  • You can add your choice of protein.
