Description

Easy and delicious Japanese recipes made in an air fryer.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of sushi rice
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 200g of chicken thigh, diced
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of mirin
  • 1 teaspoon of sesame oil
  • 1 cup of mixed vegetables (carrot, bell pepper, broccoli)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until water runs clear.
  2. Combine rice and water in a pot, bring to a boil, then simmer for 20 minutes.
  3. Mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a small bowl and stir until dissolved.
  4. Fluff the cooked rice and mix in the vinegar mixture.
  5. In a bowl, marinate diced chicken with soy sauce, mirin, and sesame oil for 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F).
  7. Add marinated chicken and mixed vegetables to the air fryer basket.
  8. Cook for 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  9. Serve chicken and vegetables over sushi rice.

Notes

  • Adjust cooking time based on the size of chicken pieces.
  • Use any vegetables of your choice.
  • For extra flavor, add chopped green onions as a garnish.
