Description

A simple and delicious recipe for airfryer whole chicken.


Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken (about 45 lbs)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 lemon, halved
  • Fresh herbs (optional, such as rosemary or thyme)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 360°F (182°C).
  2. Pat the chicken dry with paper towels.
  3. Rub olive oil all over the chicken.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  5. Place lemon halves inside the cavity of the chicken.
  6. If using, stuff fresh herbs inside the cavity as well.
  7. Place the chicken in the air fryer basket, breast side down.
  8. Cook for 30 minutes, then flip the chicken to breast side up.
  9. Cook for an additional 25-30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Notes

  • Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before carving.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • You can add vegetables around the chicken for a complete meal.
